Lots of boats and a house

Hi everyone, sorry I have been out of touch recently, but until last weekend I had spent 17 of 19 days at sea, then I raced up to Seattle for Sky’s first birthday. But the most interesting news is that I closed on my first house and moved in on Thursday. If you had not heard anything about me buying a house then sorry but I was keeping quiet about it until it closed.

The house is in Naselle, Washington, which is about 12 miles north of Astoria. It is a cute little town, very rural, nice hills and rivers all around. It has an elementary and high school which I have applied to substitute teach at, and a library, a bar, and that’s about it.

The house is a 1950’s rambler style (so my brother the architect tells me), 5 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, on half and acre. It is definitely a fixer, and my idea for getting it was to give me something to do while I wait for boats.

I only have these pictures which I took when first looking at the house, however since Craden and I have torn into the laundry to try to track down a water leak, and I have replaced the dormer roof on the back of the house.

I will try to take more photos however at the moment I am sitting in a hotel room in Newport waiting for a boat. It was suppose to go out tonight, but now it’s early tomorrow. If you get this today, Sunday, feel free to call, I am bored.

Much love to you all

Shaun
